    Description

    This is a vintage handmade pincushion that was made using the bottom from a plastic jug such as a laundry detergent jug. I was given this over 30 years ago and it had been around for a while then. I have no idea who made it or when. I got it from somebody who got it from somebody who got it from somebody.... It measures approximately 6" long, 3.5" wide and 5.25" tall with a 3" cushion so there is plenty of room for pins and needles. The glue holding the jug bottom to the cushion has come undone in one spot and the thread/string used for the bead work is darker than what I remember which could either be age, since it seems uniform, or transferred dirt from being handled over the years or just my faulty memory. The plastic handle has become somewhat bent from being packed into a box for several years. It is very unique, I can't remember ever seeing anything quite like it.
