Trap Wax and Dye Kit 4 Piece
A special non-cracking, no odor, white trap wax. This trap wax will dry clear. Recommended for all steel traps used for both land and water trapping. Use in pure form. Excellent for both dryland predator and water sets
Instructions: Be Careful - Highly Flammable! Have a pot large enough so that the wax that you need to completely cover your traps only fill the container half full. Heat the wax to around 230 degrees. If the wax starts smoking - it is too hot, so lower the heat. Dip dry clean traps into pure wax and leave long enough (about 20 - 30  seconds) for the traps to look wet when removed.
This powered trap dye turns black when mixed with water, and turns traps a dark black color.
I have found this dye to be as good as black dye and a lot cheaper.
Instructions: In a container large enough to cover the amount of traps that you want to treat at a time - add 1 pound of red powder to each 5 gallons of boiling water and simmer for 1 hour.
Add water as needed to keep traps completely covered.
Remove traps - rinse with water - hang up to dry.
Can be used on all steel traps.
