Brynda is just 11.5 inches tall.
She is an "arms away" style half doll with porcelain legs & base
She is completely hand crafted and is a one of a kind porcelain half doll pincushion, boudoir fashion doll.
My hand made boudoir dolls make the perfect gift and add grace and charm to any room they are displayed in.
Brynda would make the perfect decor accent on a dresser, nightstand, or fireplace mantle.
These dolls look so elegant placed in a glass dome and displayed through out any home. You don't need to be a doll collector to enjoy and treasure these one-of-a-kind figurines.
My hand crafted petite ladies of fashion are all designed and hand made by me. No two are ever made the same.
They are made of the finest porcelain & fabrics.
I put many, many hours of design work and labor
into these unique "one of a kind" dolls.
Each doll is "one of one" and features my signature & the date she was created.
The dolls are all hand painted and completely hand crafted.
Brynda's half porcelain body and straight legs and base are poured from the finest porcelain and have been hand painted.
Brynda has a very demure facial expression. She is gazing into the mirror which she holds in both outstretched hands.
Her mirror has been finished off with a real mirror finish to allow for her reflection to be seen. Please view photos....very realistic.
I have adorned her hand painted mirror with tiny micro Swarovski crystals in a floral motif.
She has short black hair and brown eyes.
Her base is painted an ivory and features high quality gold all around the exterior, raised accents on the top and her shoes have been painted with high quality gold.
Her shoes feature pink micro Swarovski crystals.
Each doll is designed & made by me in my studio. Many take several weeks to complete.
Brynda would make a great addition to any doll collection.
She is ONE OF A KIND and you can be assured that you will not find another like her anywhere.
She is a nude antique reproduction so her dress has been entirely hand made/sewn by me.
She wears a necklace made from micro glass pearl beads.
There are many stages of china painting and kiln firings just to achieve the porcelain half doll.
Then she moves on to the next stage. Designing and hand sewing a costume for her.
I never use commercial patterns.
Each doll's design is first drawn by hand and then I create pattern pieces from the drawing.
My inspiration for Brynda is the fashion worn during the 1920's through the 1950's.
A very unique time in women's fashion that changed the way women dressed and expressed their passion for fashion.
Brynda is dressed in a mid thigh "A" style dress.
Her bodice is made from a plum colored vintage silk organza fabric that features a "criss-cross" styling.
It is gathered at the shoulders and features a beaded accent using vintage beads salvaged from a antique dress.
Her dress features a drop waist that is fitted at the waist line and finished off with a white sash and gold crystal buckle.
The back features a silk bow.
There is a beaded corsage at her left hip.
The bottom section of her dress is made of a high quality French imported cotton fabric in an elegant floral rose print.
I have embellished this with vintage French trim, German silk velvet ribbon, antique sequin trim and sequins and glass seed beads that have been salvaged from an antique dress.
Brynda wears a stylish wide brimmed hat which I made especially for her. It is made from high end silk fabric and features French silk gimp trim, hand made flowers and a hand beaded flower with pearl center.
Her hand sculpted mid section is made of a cotton blend fabric and features a gold sequin fringe and french silk woven gimp trim.
The bottom of her porcelain base is finished off with wool felt and features my artist label.
Brynda wears a slip beneath her dress.
To complete her look she has a boa that is made from high quality ostrich feathers which have been dyed a beautiful plum color.
Her Ostrich feather boa has been imported from Australia and has been hand made.
Brynda is sure to be a conversation piece and an heirloom for decades to come.
