She is completely hand crafted and is a one of a kind porcelain half doll pincushion, boudoir fashion doll.
These dolls make the perfect gift and add grace and charm to any room they are displayed in.
Alessandra would make the perfect decor accent on a dresser or fireplace mantle. She would also look lovely as a center piece on your dining room table or buffet.
Alessandra is an "arm's away" style half doll with exceptional detailing to her facial features as well as her hands & fingers.

My hand crafted petite ladies of fashion are all designed and hand made by me.
They are made of the finest porcelain & fabrics. I put many, many hours of design work and labor
into these unique "one of a kind" dolls.
Each doll is "one of one" and features my signature & the date she was created.
The dolls are all hand painted and completely hand crafted.
I work very hard to ensure that the fabrics, china paints and or Spanish oils are all matched.
When necessary I will hand dye the fabrics, ribbons and trims to match the half doll I am working on.
All crystals, sequins, pearls and beads are selected by me to match my design colors.
Each doll is designed & made by me in my studio.
Many take several weeks to complete from sketching the design to sewing the last stitch.
No two are EVER made the same!

Her porcelain half doll body is made from the finest porcelain.
Alessandra is 14 inches tall.
My inspiration for Alessandra is "Old World Italian" decor.
Alessandra has expressive green eyes and beautiful auburn hair.
She has beautiful facial features, a very delicate and demure look.
She wears a head band in her up swept hair that features tiny micro Swarovski crystals and a hand painted design.
She has gold micro crystal earrings and necklace.
Her blouse features elbow length sleeves. It has been hand painted a fern green color with a dark brown accent on her "V" neck.
Her jacket has been hand painted a soft beige & features tiny crystal buttons in the back.
Alessandra carries in her outstretched arms a porcelain tray full of grapes.
She reminds me of an Italian goddess who is carrying in grapes to be stomped/crushed for wine.
There are so many various stages to making these petite ladies.
From pouring the mold, cleaning and firing.
Painting the half doll requires several firings alone.
Then she moves on to the next stage.
Designing and hand sewing a costume for her.
I never use commercial patterns.
Each doll's design is first drawn by hand and then I create pattern pieces from the drawing.
Alessandra is dressed in a full length Italian inspired day dress.
Her dress is made from high end Silk and Silk Charmeuse.
Her over skirt is done in colors of Vanilla, cinnamon, daisy yellow, cream yellow and maze gold.
Her under dress is done in a deep fern green and features a delicate hand made silk and organza embroidered ribbon rose trim and rows of ruffled silk Georgette in shades of vanilla and fern green.
Alessandra wears an apron made from vintage tufted Swiss fabric in a beige dyed to match and features an antique flocked netting with an elegant floral pattern.
Her apron is finished off with an antique filet net French antique bobbin lace.
There is one Swarovski crystal bead at the center and two tiny butterfly Swarovski crystals at the bottom corners of her apron.
Her apron is tied at the back in a bow which is made of silk ribbon hand dyed to match.
There is a hand made silk rose accent at the back of her dress.
Alessandra wears a slip made from several rows of ruffled vintage white lace.
Her sculpted base is made from an imported vintage high end French cotton fabric.
It has a striped floral print in various shades of cream yellow, fern green and sky blue.
The base is weighted and is finished off with scratch resistant pads to protect the fabric.
It features my artist seal and my signature and date that Alessandra was created.
No detail is overlooked and nearly everything is done by hand.
Many hours of hand sewing are required on these petite dolls not to mention the hours that I spend designing the pattern.
I use only the finest silks & fabrics when creating my petite ladies of fashion, nothing else will do.
I post many photos so you are able to see exactly what you are buying and you can see the detail that is put into these petite works of art and fashion.
