    ANTIQUE BOXWOOD EMBROIDERY HOOP w/PINCUSHION
    This is a beautiful and unusual clamp-on device.
    It is made of a very tight grain wood - I believe Boxwood.
    There is a
    hand carved wood screw with a beautifully turned handle used to attach it to a table. It is somewhat tight so I did not try to force it to turn.
    The very unusual hoop is made of horn and inserts into a brass slot to hold it.
    I must double check, but the hoops measures approx 5" in diameter.
    There is a velvet pincushion at the top which has some wear in the cloth.
    A nice addition to your sewing item collection.
